Publications

Below you will find a few of my publications from my University experience and from the Los Angeles Times.

The Female Body: Exposed was created in 2018 where I photographed women's physical insecurities while documenting the human condition and the emotion's relative to one's identity. Countless young girls and women of all ages are pressured to mold themselves into the stereotypes of what society has determined as attractive and normal. I want to celebrate the insecurities, rather than hide them. I want to expose them in such a light that forces people to examine these individual insecurities and hopefully see the subtle artistry and grace within each and everyone of my models. The women in my project have shown vulnerability as they reveal their bodies and are able to share their experiences. My photographs represent regular women as opposed to the ideal image that is represented throughout society and our culture. I am photographing women without post processing manipulation to alter or improve their appearance. The nature of the project is to artistically demonstrate the variation of insecurities experienced by women.
